Isle of Wight 2024

This page has been created to provide parents with an update on the trip and photographs where possible.  Please be aware that the information is coming directly from the adults on the trip and at times it may not be possible to update the page until the children are settled.  This page will be deleted at the end of the Summer Term

Wednesday- 1.45pm. The children and staff on the trip are currently sitting on the ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight

2.30pm. Safe arrival at the centre

9pm. The children enjoyed an afternoon of either orienteering, buggy building or zip wire followed by some free time. Some chose to play football, some chatted, some played and others rolled down the grassy slopes. A dinner of beef burgers, veggie burgers or chicken burgers with  chips and corn on the cob with a well-stocked salad bar and ice cream afterwards.

In the evening there was a well-organised campfire with marshmallows and some noisy singing!

Thursday

6.00 - The weather is looking good this morning. Many children are up and ready to start the day..

6pm - Orienteering, zip lines and body surfing were amongst the activities on offer today. We are all so impressed by the children that faced their fears on the zip lines and those that went into the sea today!  Staff are hopeful that the fresh air and energy used on the activities today will lead to an early night for all!

Friday - 6am lots of blue sky this morning and no sounds of children as yet!  Archery and Jacob's Ladder are amongst the activities for the morning. The trip will be heading for home shortly after lunch.

The lack of accessible WiFi means that most photographs from the trip will not be uploaded until next week. Something to look forward to!

14:15 We have landed in Portsmouth
