Pottery

Pottery is a mindful activity which helps us to relax and let go of all our worries. Each child is going to learn and understand the process of pottery. We will teach the skills to hand build with clay in order to create their own 3 dimensional pieces. They will familiarise themselves with all the pottery techniques such as coiling, slabbing, carving, glazing and firing. The firing process will be done by the teachers outside of school. The class will learn to enjoy the different stages that the clay goes through to get to the final piece. Pottery teaches us patience and allows for lots of creative exploration. All the clay, glazes and equipment is provided.

Pottery Club is run by Clay Catz after school 3.15 - 4.15 pm
